About

Who am I?
A professed Secular Discalced Carmelite. Worked as an environmental consultant before working as a media assistant at the media office of The Archbishop of Kuching for ten years. An ardent lover of photography and writing (but has never done it well). Currently married to a non-Catholic husband, relocated to Australia and self-employed.

An introvert inside out, but still love meeting people. A true workaholic, but enjoy movies and hang out with good friends. St Thomas Aquinas said, "It is requisite for the relaxation of the mind that we make use, from time to time, of playful deeds and jokes." A thinker, and most probably an over-thinker as well.

A servant at heart and striving hard to live out the Catholic and Carmelite identity.

Favourite saints:
John Paul II, St Teresa of Jesus, St John of the Cross, St Therese of Lisieux.

Purpose
Never meant for self-gratification. A journal of experiences - good and bad, pleasant and unpleasant ones; including musings and thoughts. My own record of spiritual growth - notice how immature I was in my earlier years!

Whatever the reasons you stumbled upon this blog, I pray that you would be able to relate to and learn from my experiences (albeit silly, insignificant, immature as they were) and also my spiritual experiences.

Get in touch
I am not a theologian, but I am interested in everything Catholic and Carmelite. If you would like to get in touch with me or sincerely wanting to become my companion in this journey of ascending Mount Carmel and to sainthood, I can be contacted at aud_shark[at]hotmail.com.

Gratitude
Thank you for dropping by and spending time to read this humble, simple self introduction.
